Student Entrepreneurship

At ERIC, we encourage the entrepreneurial development of second and third level students.

UID8 is a summer camp facilitated by SETU Carlow that develops creativity and innovation through the design process given to transition year (TY) students. This programme has run successfully since its inception in 2017, including 2020 where the programme was adapted and delivered during COVID restrictions.

This year the programme is being offered as a partnership between designCORE and the Enterprise and Innovation Management teams at SETU Carlow. This partnership gives a rich mix of academic expertise in design education and practical experience of design and innovation in the commercial sector to target the entrepreneurial, innovative, and creative development of transition year students.
