Team Rural
TEaM Rural – a team entrepreneurship approach within rural economies
TEaM Rural is an SETU Carlow strategic entity focused on entrepreneurship and economic development in towns and villages with a population of less than 10,000 people.
TEaM Rural is a collaborative and open innovation approach to entrepreneurship, which uses a network of local, regional, national and international collaborators. The collaborative network comes from a cross section of industry, community development, chamber of commerce, local authority and academia.
TEaM Rural principles use a practical entrepreneurship development approach called TEAM Academy, which started in Juyvaskla University in Finland in 1993. TEaM Rural has an international knowledge exchange program in place; the network has a TEaM Rural studio based in the ERIC Centre. TEaM Rural will also engage the advice and consultancy services of existing TEAM Academy trainers and developers from Finland, UK, Spain and Holland.
TEaM Rural is also part of a globally extended range of practitioners, a network that is actively engaged in developing TEAM Academy as a global entrepreneurship development practice.
